I guess I’ve always been fascinated by insects, because they make-up what I think is one of the most numerous and diverse classes of the animal kingdom! But my favourite would have to be the butterfly… I’ve always been fascinated how a caterpillar goes from being a fat worm like creature that one day wraps itself in a cocoon and another emerges as a butterfly… that metamorphosis is magical to me! When I was about 5 years old I used to collect different kinds of butterflies and wanted to be an entomologist when I grew up exploring the world for new species!

I think penguins are great, they are so clumsy on land yet so graceful in water. But I’m not really fascinated by them.

Bees, specifically Bumblebees have always fascinated me, they just really shouldn’t be able to fly!
