Question: If you were confident enough to re-design the kidney would you do it and if so what improvement would you make?

Well I let’s start off by saying that the kidney is an immensely complex organ and we’re still discovering loads about it everyday and barely touching the tip of the iceberg in many respects… so I wouldn’t be confident… but if I was… I suppose I’d make sure each kidney had a spare blood supply (arterial and venous) and spare ureter (tube that connects to the bladder)…. as these can sometimes get blocked due to say a clot or kidney stone and damage and destroy the kidney… so if you you had a spare route… if one got blocked the other would still be okay to work away!
