      Because the two things are very very different, I don’t think it’d survive at all. The important parts (gills/lungs/kidney) so specialised that a half way between probably wouldn’t work well on land or in water. But frogs do a good job of living both in and out of water, as do diving birds like penguins and mammals like seals.

      Unless we’re talking about the tiny little creatures you can buy called sea monkeys… I have to agree with Heather… in order to blend the DNA of both these animals you’d have to make some really radical changes to make sure that everything worked together… but by that stage… it wouldn’t really be half a monkey or a fish… it’d be an entirely new organism with different DNA
