• Question: How do you feel about the stereotypical scientist being a male? Have you ever experienced any sexism?

      The stereotypical scientist may be male, but that is quite an old stereotype, but it doesn’t bother me really.

      There are a lot of female scientists, including some really high profile ones such as Dame Nancy Rothwell and others in the public eye like Liz Bonham.

      I think it’s all about proving that stereotype wrong, rather than letting it bother me!

      I haven’t experienced sexism through my work.
