Loads! Science is my passion both inside and outside of work but I do a few other things.

I’m a big fan of music… I’ve very eclectic taste due to my family… one minute I could be listening to Rihanna, Cold Play, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake… the next I’m onto Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pink Flyod… then maybe a bit of Mozart, Beethoven, some Irish traditional music… a little Jay-Z, Kayne West, Eminem or even Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Daft Punk and Calvin Harris… Basically if there is a a good beat… a catchy melody and something interesting about the song… I’ll give it a listen and more than likely dance too!

I also play a few instruments… I’m a predominantly a self taught Irish traditional musician. I play Low whistle, Bodhrán and Tin whistle. I also can play some of the kind of stuff you’d hear on the radio on the piano/keyboard by ear. I also have a guitar sitting in the flat… but haven’t got round to learning it.

Other intersts… well I like to cook and throw dinner parties… I also love to swim, I cycle a lot (everyone does in Cambridge!) and occasionally take walks around the surrounding area to explore the woods or farmlands. I’m a big theatre fan and have a weakness for musicals, I’ve always had an interest in how the backstage works and I used to do some production and lighting design for shows back in my old Uni.
