• Question: could a person with more than 2 kidneys have a higher than normal blood toxicity.

      Hi tparkes,

      Well the two key organ systems that deal with toxins are the liver and kidneys… so while you could have more kidneys to filter your blood, often the liver is actually what is inactivating the toxins first so they don’t damage the kidneys. So without an extra liver too I don’t think having a few extra kidneys would allow you to have a much larger tolerance for blood toxicity… though if the toxin only targeted the kidneys I suppose that they could technically handle more poison as it would be spread across 3/4 kidneys instead of just two.
