      Yes… in fact the best example is Vitamin D! In humans its almost impossible to produce enough of it without sunlight hitting your skin. The sunlight converts it into its active form called Calcitriol or VitD3

      One of the important jobs of VitD3 is to regulate Calcium levels in the body and in particular for healthy bones… as an example it was found that women in the middle east who wear the burka and do not receive enough sunlight per day actually have lower bone density and are susceptible to fractures.

      It’s also been found that lower levels of sunlight that reduces VitD3 can increase the risk of depression
