      I’m not sure that abdominal fat is more difficult to get rid of than other deposits, one of the features is that it tends to be more prominent. If you look at people who undergo large decreases in body mass they tend to lose fat from all deposits. One thing we do know about fat deposition in the abdominal area is that it is a reasonable predictor of increasing the risk of coronary heart disease.
