      I don’t think it is immoral or unethical if that’s what you mean… but I do feel it needs to be properly regulated and justified… it can’t be just done randomly!

      We need to make sure that a genetically modified animal or crop doesn’t get released into the wild and introduce the genetic mutation into the wild species… that could potentially have ill effects… this is easier to control in the animals as we can prevent their release or do our genetic manipulations on immunocompromised animals so if they accidentally escape they won’t survive to breed in the wild. However its much more difficult to make sure that pollen from genetically modified plants doesn’t end up finding its way into the natural habitat.

      But generally speaking the regulations in place are adequate and it is all pretty safe!
