      Yes,

      They send messages from one part of the body to another and allow you to respond to changes in the environment. If you couldn’t respond to changes in water availability (drought) you’d quickly die.

      Absolutely, without hormones we can’t function properly, the definition of a hormone is a molecule produced by a cell (or cells) and exported out of the cell and transported to a target by a circulating medium. This provides one method of controlling our internal environment, which is essential for life!
